2015/1/11 - wheeling in the sky
While strolling around the Ueno area today, I unexpectedly came across a guy tossing little chunks of bread at the birds. A bunch of fearless gulls came wheeling in from the sky and set their eyes on the food, darting in and snatching up the pieces right out of the air. The pond is usually covered with a layer of bright green during summer, but the plants are dry and orange-gold in winter. Such beautiful, sunny January afternoons we’re having in Tokyo these days…I hope this means spring is coming soon.
